Game 9 report: JJ's Kitchen 16, Demons 6

The bad news coming out of Thursday's happenings at Wavering Park: The Demons' hopes of successfully defending their Division V crown came to an end.

The good news: The Demons don't have to worry about being bumped up in class next year. Had the Demons won the title again, they would have been moved up next year.

JJ's made sure there would be no repeat of last year's Demons celebration by sweeping the season series. JJ's, a first-year D-V entry, has the inside track to the title.

Unlike the rest of the Shoeless Joe impersonators in Demons jerseys, DOB came to play. After missing the earlier meeting with JJ's, DOB went 2 for 2 with a run scored. Shawny even pulled himself away from his lady long enough to hit a 2-run bomb.

Both of JJ's wins over the Demons come with asteriks attached. While DOB missed the first meeting, Hitman Hart and Big John Studd were gone on Thursday.

The Demons start to play out the string next Thursday. Since I lost the rainout schedule, we'll have to bug the Weamster to provide time and place for next week's game.

All things considered, we played a good team without half our infield and your pitcher hit the front triangle of the plate 20 times so they were being more selective than most teams. Plus, playing one week and rained out the next hasn't let the bats to get going....so in conclusion, it could have been worse lol.

I agree. There is NO ONE that can touch the Demons when we are at full strength.

If we can get the whole team to show up Thursday we can without a doubt come out on top once more.

Unofficial game blog for Paulies customs. The 6 Demons who showed joined forces with a 13 yr ole and recruited Jazzy Jeffs rother Justin Credible to take on the other 9 Paulie's guys.

The Weamster took the mound and pitched well.
Chris Kross hit a 3 run bomb and a grand slam, but did not get much help from the defense when he pitched.
Big John Studd hit well and had fun out in the outfield for 1 inning, and made a great Eric joke after he threw it over Easy E's head.
Jazzy Jeff made a graceful to some but not to others backward somersault on a pop up on the infield as he played SS....he did hang on to the ball though. He also manged to make an error at 3B, SS and 1B...could be a league record for most positions for someone to make an error at in one game.
Easy E (Eric)... Had a solid game and managed to almost hit Jazzy Jeff with the ball at 3B as he was talking to his glove after an error...Eric thought Jazzy Jeff wanted the ball and thankfully Easy E was not accurate on his throw.
Bad Brad was there doing a good job hitting and playing CF in a 3 man outfield.
Special thanks to Paulies for giving us Jazzy Jeff's brother and for playing us when they didn't have to..... It was a forfeit game but everyone had a good time..there was even a Weamster sighting at SS.

Side note: Huber's didn't have enough players so Kris Kross, Easy E, and Jazzy Jeff joined forces with the one Huber player and 5 from Paulies and combined to beat Uncle Bob's 20-3. Both sides were enjoying themselves.

Hopefully with Hitman and Nick the Quick back we will salvage 2nd place by beating Paulie's in a rematch next Thurs. at 9:00.

Til Next Week When the Real Bloggers Get back to the Team...this has been Jazzy Jeff Reporting

Any team that blames their losses on rainouts; and god forbid, no DOB, doesn't deserve to play in Div. 5 much less move up. Maybe you should look into the QPD's little girls softball leage. Everyone knew the demons would falter without Sprague, it just took a year longer than expected...

If you're going to extol my virtues, will you at least spell things correctly? Dope.
