JJ's 18, Demons 13

A terrible defensive effort led to the Demons' first loss at soggy Wavering Park.

Five dropped balls in the outfield contributed greatly to our demise. At least Hit Man followed up his two-error game at shortstop by going 0-4.

It was actually 12-12 entering the bottom of the sixth until JJ's put together a six-run rally. Shawn Grass Cutter was robbed of a homer in the top of the seventh by a leaping JJ's outfield in what might have been the greatest Division V defensive play of all time.

Sorry for the short recap - DOB is at the U.S. Women's Open and there's a little thing called THE FLOOD which has taken up most of Hit Man's time.

We'll look to rebound next Thursday at 9 when we take on Paulie's Customs at Moorman Main.

Sweet Jesus. Is O'Brien THAT important to the squad? Is the HW team useless without him? I weep for the sport of slow-pitch softball if this is the case.
